Week of September 17th - September 21st

This week's spelling words are working with vowel-consonant e spellings.  The words for this week are: bite, late, size, made, side, ate, fine, same, hide, line, give, have, shake, write.  We will take the pre-test on Monday and the post-test on Friday.  If your child gets 100% on the pre-test on Monday, they do not have to take the test on Friday!

Tuesday - Lesson 3.2 -Count Back to Subtract

Thursday - Lesson 3.4 - Use Addition to Subtract

Math homework is due back the next day.  No credit will be given for late homework unless your child is sick on the day the homework comes home.

This week's word wall words:

again, any, know, their, some

We will be doing activities throughout the week to practice reading and spelling these words at school. Please make flashcards at home and practice them with your child a couple of nights a week so that they can read them on sight.  Knowing these high frequency words will help your child become a great reader!

This week we will be working with predicting outcomes as we begin our last story in Theme 1 - "Mrs. Brown Went to Town."  The reading log will come home every Monday and is to be returned the following Monday.
