If your child has a low grade, he or she may make corrections (in red pencil) and I will raise the grade to a C. The weekly spelling list will go home on Fridays with the test on the following Friday. Homework will not be assigned every night; however any unfinished daily work is considered homework and due the following morning. Reading with your child, practicing math facts, reviewing daily work, practicing spelling words, and studying for tests is also considered homework. Books can go home at any time for studying or reviewing, but they must be brought back to school the following morning. Week of May 5, 2008 Religion: Test on Friday Reading: English: Spelling: Weekly tests are on Fridays. Some students need to spend more time studying spelling words at home. Math: Mon. HW - ws. 11.3. ; Tue. HW - wb. p. 70; Wed. HW - wb. p.71 (evens); Thurs. HW -ws. 11.5 Not all students have mastered their basic math facts. Please continue to practice them with your child. (subtraction, multiplication, and division) Social Studies: Science: Literature: We are reading the novel FREEDOM CROSSING, the students have really shown an interest in this book, please ask them about it. UPCOMING EVENTS: MAY 16 - FISHING CLINIC (PLEASE RETURN THE PERMISSION SLIP IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO, AND YOUR CHILD NEEDS TO BRING A SACK LUNCH)
