Welcome to March in Pre-K!

We are so excited to enter the month of March!  This month, we will celebrate St. Patrick's Day and welcome the season of spring.  Please click on the Bears below to enter our class webpage (Pre-K general information and resources for new parents!).



Academic Subjects

In Religion, we will talk about belonging to a special family and talking to God.  We will hear about the Easter story.  We will be making a set of resurrection eggs!
   
In Literacy, we will be learning about the letters R, S, T, and U.  We will meet the Alphafriends Reggie Rooster, Sammy Seal, Tiggy Tiger, and Umbie Umbrella.  We will also learn about the /r/, /s/, /t/, and /u/ sounds.  Be on the lookout for these letters around your house and at the store!
This month, we will be learning about Dr. Seuss.  He has some great books for children full of fun creatures and creative rhymes.  Go to the library with your child and see if you can find some Dr. Seuss books to check out!  Also, be sure to check out http://www.seussville.com/ for fun Dr. Seuss activities.
   
In Math, we will continue learning about numbers.  We will talk about comparing numbers (greater than/less than/equal to) and work on some more graphing.  Keep practicing the numbers 1-10 with your child and counting to 50!
   
This month, our theme St. Patrick's Day and My Body.  For our St. Patrick's Day theme, we will learn  a little about St. Patrick and have some fun with leprechaun projects!  For the My Body theme, we will talk about taking care of our body by eating good food and exercising.
