St. Al's Pre-K Program will involve daily

that will be helpful in helping your child develop their math skills
throughout the school year.

Students in St. Al's
Pre-K Program will learn about positions. They will utilize
the following vocabulary: up, down, above, below, beside, beneath,
over, under, and in between. We will use various manipulatives
and hands-on activities to teach and master these position concepts.

Students in St. Al's
Pre-K Program will learn about comparisons. They will utilize
the following vocabulary: smaller/larger, smallest/largest,
lighter/heavier, lightest/heaviest, shorter/longer,
shortest/longest. We will use real life objects to perform
experiments using these terms.

Students in St. Al's
Pre-K Program will learn about shapes. The will be asked to
identify and duplicate the following shapes: circle, square,
triangle, oval, rectangle, diamond, heart, and star. We will
look for real-life objects that are these shapes in our classroom
and encourage you to help your child find them at home. We
will also use shapes to make pictures and people.
