Catholic Identity
St. Aloysius School will actively promote/support Catholic education.

  • To review the use of children in the liturgy
  • To recruit recent St. Aloysius alumni to speak to 7th and 8th grade students about their Catholic education experience

St. Aloysius School will implement programs to bridge school and parish religious activities.

  • To promote family Bible study
  • To promote the open house prior to opening school day as “parish end of summer celebration”
  • To promote the establishment of a youth group

Curriculum
St. Aloysius School will enhance and expand the curriculum to meet the needs of the students.

  • To identify who will benefit from:
    • An accelerated program
    • Curriculum to meet special needs
  • To implement programs designed to meet the needs of identified students
  • To develop and implement a computer education program for K-8 that will integrate into all subject areas

Development/Public Relations
St. Aloysius School will market ourselves within the parish, Springfield and to the surrounding communities.

  • To continue to recruit from parish, public school, PSR and surrounding communities
  • To continue advertising in the SJR
  • To organize and implement an e-newsletter…i.e. principals newsletter, teachers newsletter, Grapevine etc.
  • To implement the Bearly Recruiting Program to help increase enrollment

Enrollment
St. Aloysius School will continue to investigate and implement programs and activities to retain and increase enrollment in preschool through eighth grade.

  • To assist families with multiple children in meeting tuition costs by reviewing a multi-child discounted rate
  • To re-design and maintain our website in a way that promotes our school and encourages potential families to inquire further
  • To encourage all parishioners to promote the excellence of our school

Facilities
St. Aloysius School will continue to maintain the facilities and provide capital improvements.

  • To work towards ADA compliance
  • To perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Those involved in maintaining the facility will give prompt attention to problems when they are discovered and anticipate long-term needs for maintenance

Finance
St. Aloysius School will establish methods to stabilize tuition while still maintaining a balanced budget.

  • To evaluate tuition alternatives for multiple children families
  • To educate the parents on existing financial assistance programs
  • To research cost cutting alternatives
  • To standardize the school budgeting process
  • To standardize the budgets of organizations under the school board
  • To establish procurement rules

School in the Community
St. Aloysius School will promote better communication, interaction and service among school families, parishioners, alumni and communities.

  • To establish school identity in public resources including media outlets
  • To encourage alumni board to assist in bridging the gap between parish and school
  • To provide opportunities that help encourage service within our community

Staffing
