All students must be in uniform every day. Throughout the year, there will be out-of-uniform days which will be announced. A dress code for such days is included in this section. If there is a time when the prescribed uniform cannot for some legitimate reason be worn, a note from the parent/guardian must be written to the Principal. Students who are out of uniform without this excuse will be sent to the office and the parent will be called to bring the proper clothing.

Uniforms may be purchased from Luers Kidz Kloz or Dennis Uniform Only

Uniform components (pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, shifts, blouses, shirts, vests, and sweaters) may be purchased through Dennis Uniform Company. Dunbar plaid shifts, skirts and cardigan sweaters must be purchased from Dennis at 1-800-825-6951 or online at www.dennisuniform.com; use the school code G8LGV when ordering online.

In addition, uniforms items, other than Dunbar plaid shifts, skirts, and cardigan sweaters, may be purchased from Luers/Kidz Klothes which is located at 1520 S. MacArthur Boulevard in Springfield, IL (217-528-1012) or any other local retailer who sells uniform clothing.

Girls skirts should be as close to the knee as possible, within an inch or two. When the skirt gets too short, it needs to be replaced or lengthened. Do not buy one that is already too short.

All girls are allowed to purchase navy leggings from Luers (uniform ones ONLY) to wear in cold weather under skirts/jumpers.

ALL items that originally have belt loops must be worn with a belt, girls or boys.

Mark all items with your child's name, including all clothing such as school sweatshirts, uniforms, coats and jackets.
